Mouth to Mouth is a duet co-created and performed by Luciana D’Anunciação and Kelly McInnes, which celebrates our animality, sensuality, biological cycles and interdependence with all living beings. Inspired by symbiosis, interspecies kinship and reciprocal ecology, the duo unfolds through ongoing encounters and evolutions; becoming other; becoming-with.
Luciana and Kelly take the audience on a journey through surprising transformations and relationships, weaving imagery and voicework, physicality and costuming as the piece unfolds a strange, ever changing world.

A work-in-progress showing of Mouth to Mouth was live-streamed through The Dance Centre’s 12 Minutes Max program in February 2021 and after a short residency the piece was performed live at What Lab as part of Co.ERASGA’s Studio Salon Series in April 2022. Developed further through residency at Dance Victoria, Mouth to Mouth was performed at their Dance Days festival in January 2023 & at PuSH OFF in February 2023. Research and creation has been supported by the Canada Council for the Arts.
